Compliance
How we operate responsibly: licensing, disclosures, privacy, assistive AI, and quality assurance.
What we are (and are not)
This site is operated by The Marketplace Hotline, LLC, a marketing publisher. We do not sell or solicit insurance. Education, enrollment, and servicing are provided by licensed third‑party agency partners. We are not connected with, or endorsed by, the U.S. Government or the federal Medicare program and are not affiliated with or endorsed by HealthCare.gov, the federal Marketplace, or any state‑based Marketplace. All advertising and consumer communications are designed to avoid unfair, deceptive, or misleading practices, consistent with guidance published in the Federal Register.
Our standard of conduct
We follow unfair-trade and advertising standards for insurance: no misrepresentation of coverage, no guarantees of outcomes, no improper inducements, and clear identification of the producer/agency as required by state law. Marketing claims are accurate, balanced, and consistent with filed benefits and carrier materials, aligned with NAIC guidance.
Licensing & appointments
Enrollments are performed only by agents and agencies duly licensed and, where required, appointed for the products and jurisdictions involved. For Marketplace business, agents working on FFM/SBM enrollments complete required registration and training. For Medicare, agents follow current marketing and communications rules, including required disclaimers.
Plan availability & Medicare disclaimers
Plan and carrier availability vary by state and county. Where our licensed entities do not offer every Medicare Advantage or Part D plan in a service area, we use the standard TPMO disclaimer in materials and calls. Placement, prominence, and delivery meet current guidance (including delivery within the first minute on sales calls). Requirements are reflected in the Federal Register and the eCFR.
Privacy of consumer information
As the site operator and marketing publisher, The Marketplace Hotline, LLC handles personal information under state insurance privacy laws and applicable consumer privacy laws. We limit use to matching you with licensed partners, quality assurance, and required compliance; share only with licensed third‑party agency partners and service providers under contract; and provide notices and opt‑outs where required. See our Privacy Policy.
AI use - assistive, not autonomous
Our tools help compare plans, verify networks and formularies, prepare documents, and monitor deadlines. Licensed humans make the recommendations and complete enrollments. We do not use AI to make eligibility determinations. Eligibility is determined by the Marketplace, CMS, or the carrier.
Compensation & cost to consumers
Consumers are not charged for our assistance. We may receive fixed marketing/referral fees from licensed third‑party agency partners as permitted by law and contract; your premium is not affected.
Producer identity
We identify the enrolling agency/producer to consumers and, where required, provide NPN/license information. Titles and branding avoid implying government status or guaranteed results.
Contacting consumers
We follow federal and state telemarketing laws. By clicking or calling on our site, you agree we and our licensed partners may contact you by phone at the number you provide. Consent is not required to buy. Calls may be recorded. You can revoke consent at any time by contacting us. We honor Do Not Call requests. See our TCPA policy for details.
Quality assurance & complaints
Calls may be recorded for quality and compliance. We maintain complaint logs and investigate concerns consistent with Department of Insurance expectations.
“One Agent for Life” service model
This phrase describes our intent to provide continuity with the same licensed agent whenever possible, subject to licensure, appointment, and availability. Consumers may request a different agent at any time. It is not a guarantee of assignment for any particular duration or policy.
Performance claims & savings methodology
Any savings or cost statements on this site are educational. For general Marketplace context, public data indicate the average Marketplace premium subsidy was about $550/month in 2025, with an average full-price premium of about $619/month and an overall average after-subsidy premium of about $113/month (including unsubsidized enrollees). These figures are not our customer results and do not guarantee individual savings. Actual costs depend on age, location, household, MAGI, plan selections, and market conditions.
